This Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations (DSEAR) Training course provides users with an understanding of the DSEAR regulations whilst highlighting the responsibilities that they and their employers share. About this course
The Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations were introduced to make workplaces safer for anyone who works with flammable or potentially explosive substances or substances corrosive to metal.
Without proper controls in place, these substances can ignite and explode, causing serious harm to anyone nearby.
DSEAR places responsibilities on employers to keep anyone who might be affected by dangerous substances safe and to control any hazards they pose. However, employees also have a crucial role to play in keeping themselves and others safe at work.
This course teaches the user about DSEAR and what it covers, what responsibilities employers have to keep everyone safe, and what employees must do to help their organisation comply with the regulations.
The importance of DSEAR
It’s important that you comply with the law and understand the positive impact this training course can have on your organization and employees.

Business benefits
It is crucial for all organisations to carefully consider how they can best keep everybody safe.
Knowing what substances in your workplace have the potential to present fire and explosion risk should be a key part of an organisation's risk assessment. If there are any substances of this nature present, then it is crucial that relevant personnel are provided with training to understand the dangers associated with the substances and how to avoid any accidents from occurring.
